Kampuni ya Apple imeanza kufanya uchunguzi baada ya
 mwanamke mmoja kutoka china Kufariki dunia akiwa anaitumia
simu aina ya iphone 5 huku ikiwa kwenye charge. Mwanamke
huyo mwenye jina la Ma Ailun, from the Xinjiang region of
China,alipoteza fahamu na kufariki huku akiwa anaitumia
simu yake ya iphone 5.
Dada wa marehemu alisema “I want to warn everyone else
 not to make phone calls when your mobile phone is recharging.”.

Apple walichokifunguka kuhusu issue hiyo ni hiki:_
 “We are deeply saddened to learn of this tragic incident
and offer our condolences to the Ma Ailun family. Tunaendelea
 na uchunguzi wetu kwa makini huku tukishirikiana na
vyombo vya dola”
Police nchini China walisema marehemu “Ma Ailun” alifariki
 dunia wakati anapokea simu. Kutoka na report za technoligia
 China ndio watumiaji wa pili wakubwa wa bidhaa za Aplle.

now? People in China are approaching their phones with fear
 after relatives of 23-year-old flight attendant Ma Ailun said
she died after being electrocuted when she tried to answer
her iPhone 5 while it was charging. "(I) hope that Apple can
give us an explanation," Ma's older sister posted on Sina
Weibo, China's version of Twitter, in a message that's now
gone viral. "I also hope that all of you will refrain from using
your mobile devices while charging." Apple said it was

Maybe if she didn't strip the wire on charger and didn't stick it up the phone her butt, she would still be alive. I am playing the B.S. card on this one.

If that did actually happen, it was probably one of the cheap,counterfeit, Chinese knock-offs

China does not have AC current like we do - most of their power is DC and is converted to a form of AC.   And it's not a real reliable form of AC, so this is possible - China is still technically a 3rd world nation.  Add to that the utter and indiscriminate propagation of "faux" products coming out of China and this is more than possible.
I seriously doubt Apple or their product is at fault here.
